We are therefore looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join the team and drive forward innovation relating to simplification of our tools, automation and acting as an expert on the toolkit.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
· Administering the GEO digital platforms
· Identifying opportunities for simplification
· Managing the workflow libraries
· Managing the script libraries
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
· Graduate degree in technology
· 2+ years of (similar) system administration experience
· Technology:
o One of more scripting languages
§ Perl, Python, Powershell etc.
o Linux or Solaris, TCP/IP, DNS, Apache, basic network troubleshooting, shell scripting
o Restful API capabilities
o Nagios, T-SQL, Java, Perl (or PHP), application servers (tomcat, jboss, weblogic, websphere, atg, resin)
o Testing Platforms such as Selenium
o ServiceNow
o Remedy On Demand
o Cortex
o Familiar with cognitive technologies
· Process:
o Business process notation (flow diagrams, symbology etc.)
o Agile methodology Experience (preferably SAFe 4.0)
o
· Individual:
o Great understanding of managed service provider operations and systems administration
o Proven ability to manage platforms operating in dynamic, high-growth, high-uncertainty environments
o Strong communication and decision making skills.
o Strong analytical skills with practical experience of transforming business requirements to functional capabilities
o Ability to interact and work with and in an international and distributed virtual team.
o Excellent organization and prioritization skills
o Possess problem solving skills
o Fluent in English
