عن الدورة

This Traffic Engineering & Transportation Analysis course introduces the fundamental concepts used in civil engineering to analyze and design transportation systems. It is especially useful for students preparing for the NCEES Civil Engineering PE Exam.

The course begins with core traffic flow concepts, including traffic volume, density, speed, and headway. You will learn how these variables are related and how they are used to describe real-world traffic conditions on highways and urban roads.

A major focus is placed on traffic estimation methods such as Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT) and Annual Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT). These calculations are essential for transportation planning and infrastructure design.

The course also covers advanced traffic relationships, including speed–density–flow models, space mean speed, and time mean speed. You will learn how these equations are applied in traffic analysis and roadway performance evaluation.

Additional topics include lane occupancy, signalized intersection analysis, and quick estimation methods for critical traffic scenarios. The course also introduces real-world examples to help connect theoretical concepts with practical applications.

By the end of this course, learners will understand how traffic systems are analyzed using engineering principles and how to apply key formulas used in transportation engineering and PE exam problems.
