Your Role and Responsibilities
Cloud & cognitive PTAs are pre-sales technical consultants to IBM Ecosystem partners. PTAs combine their technical knowledge with their understanding of the partners business, technical requirements, and competitive landscape – to help the partner deliver high value and reputable solutions to the clients. They provide technical development support to enable the partner to: identify new opportunities, define, design, and validate the solution. They guide partners in preparation of offer advising on complete BoM and SQO. They also help partners to properly document channel value rewards incentives requirements (POCs, solution presentations, competitive positioning of IBM offerings) in order to maximize partner benefits and generate funds for reinvestments in skills or HC resources. PTAs are brand aligned, specializing, in one or more cloud Paks and related offerings. PTAs support business plans built in covered countries with focus partners by partner sales manager.

Build critical mass of digital reps with technical foundation to support BP development in BP-led territories of Africa,
Build local skills for Cloud Paks and transfer them to channels,
Offload Partner Sales Managers in countries with certain task (product knowledge, building configurations with BP, BoM for Special Bids, execute enablement plans for selected BP and offerings),
Extend coverage of Partner Sales Manager (PSM) in countries by assigning additional BPs, generate incremental revenue and sustainable growth in Africa
