About the role


The Exams Support Officer works closely with OxfordAQA Centres in the Middle East to ensure the operation of exams is smooth and efficient and support the Qualifications Consultants with developing new schools and organising local events so as to ensure achievement of agreed regional business plan objectives.




This role will be based in Cairo, Egypt.


 


Responsibilities of the roles will include:


Teamwork: Work as a core member of the Qualifications team on OxfordAQA Middle Easts overall endeavour to deliver fair and quality exams for schools and students and deal with inquiries and provide other services to centres as required.
Product knowledge: Work with OxfordAQA central team to develop an in-depth and solid understanding of OxfordAQA qualifications, proposition, exam administration details and relevant policies or guidelines.
Training delivery: Provide periodical and quality training to teachers and exam officers at approved or potential OxfordAQA centres, help centres to develop a clear understanding of the strengths of OxfordAQA qualifications and assist centres to smoothly and efficiently deliver exams in line with OxfordAQA exam administration policies.
Facilitate exams logistics: Work with central team and partners in customs clearance, dispatch to and collections from centres, assist centres in student registration – train, keep track and troubleshoot.
Event organisation: Liaise with Qualification consultant and Central PD and events team in organizing and delivering training events, annual conference and other events across the Middle East, including help out with logistics such as flight booking, accommodation reservation, etc.
Customer Relationship Management: Assist in managing customer relationship management system and facilitating webinar trainings
Personal Management: Organize yourself, your priorities and your resources in such a way as to maximise your effectiveness and achieve your objectives. You work with respect with all internal colleagues and external interfaces according to OxfordAQAs Compliance Manual and OUPs Code of Conduct and Ethical Policies and you demonstrate OxfordAQA values at all times.


About you


Essential:


Demonstrable working experience in education, preferably in international schools and in exams administration related roles.
Competent presentation and public speaking skills in English
Strong interpersonal skills with sound customer service mentality; able to work in a multi-cultural environment
Highly organized and able to multi-task on a daily basis, able to adjust to shifting priorities and with meticulous attention to details
Able to work under pressure, demonstrated time management skills and able to deliver results to agreed timelines.
Able to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive and positive style that fosters collaborative working relationships.
Good IT and administrative skills
Willingness to travel extensively in a defined region.
