Responsibilities:
Handle cash, credit or check transactions with customers ansd third party suppliers and vendor
Collect cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers
Record, report, and store information related to transactions of customers, ensuring all information is accurate and complete
Maintain and balance cash drawers and reconcile discrepancies
Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting and packaging currency and coins to be stored in drawers or vault
Handle currency, transactions, and confidential information in a responsible manner
Use software to track company information and generate reports
Follow all financial and security regulations and procedures
Maintains customer confidence and protects finance operations by keeping information confidential
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Receives and validates customer
Bank Checks and compliant with Central
Bank regulations
Follow-up on maturity dates for customer bank checks and ensures depositing is completed on due dates
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct
Issue receipts to customers
Ensures validity (non-forged) of currencies provided
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field
Ability to handle transactions quickly and accurately
Minimum 1-year experience handling money and working with a cash register
Proficient cashier and clerical skills
Positive, helpful attitude toward customers, including the ability to speak clearly and convey information accurately
Ability to pass a background check
Exceptional time management, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide easily and quickly
High level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy
