About the Job
Perform the daily accounting activities required to maintain the company’s general ledger.
Review purchasing invoices, prepare letters of gurantee, calculate import duties and price shipments, treasury management
Perform cash reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.
Prepare monthly tax reports
Cash management (including placement/movement of funds in various trusts).
Maintain organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.
Review general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years
Language: Fluent in both English and Arabic languages.
Excellent Computer Skills Especially in Excel, and Office package.
Experience with Quick Books is a plus
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards (GASB).
Thoroughness and attention to detail.
Knowledge of operating and capital budget concepts.
Ability to analyze financial data and to prepare accurate reports in a timely fashion.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Thorough understanding and working knowledge of contractual legal language.
