Description
We are looking for you to become a Collection Specialist on our Order-to-Cash team in Cairo, Egypt.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving collection performance on assigned portfolio of customers, including high volume customer calls, in a goal-oriented collections department.
You should possess strong critical thinking skills and have a demonstrable ability to not only solve problems, but also to help implement those solutions throughout the business. In addition, the Collection Specialist must be proactive, team-oriented, possess good interpersonal communication skills, and should have a deep commitment and willingness to achieve success, both on a personal and a company-wide level.
What You Will Do In Your Role
Manage customer accounts via collection software and strategic planning, enlisting the efforts of Customer Service and Commercial Sales Team when necessary to accelerate the collection process
Communicate material issues and trends to in-market credit managers and/or other relevant parties.
Recommend payment hold status on counterparties that pay beyond acceptable terms
Recommend bad debt account reserves
Identify, research and resolve counterparty payment discrepancies (quality claims, unearned discounts, pricing and quantity disputes, etc.).
Assist counterparties via phone or email by providing POD or BOL information, invoice and statement copies, and other payment documentation.
Performing financial releases applying the financial rule sets
Manual update of post-dated checks and LCs and keep a track of check collections.
Send open receivables reports to TSM
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements
Egyptian National and residing in Egypt.
Business degree preferred from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in commercial collections
Basic accounting proficiency
Expert level in English and Arabic language is mandatory
