Your Purpose:
This position is responsible for supporting our various payroll processes. The Payroll accountant will serve as a primary liaison with HR dept. payroll team and will work closely with HR.
Your accountabilities:
• Applies internal controls (including authority matrix) and accounting policies & procedures for Payroll and other HR/employees’ related payments
• Processes employees’ payment requests (Business trips, loans, advance payments etc.)
• Ensures timely payments to Government (including GOSI and MOI)
• Ensures timely and accurate payments to suppliers’/service provider related to HR & HRS
• Reviews monthly payroll and ensures accuracy of it
• Records payroll, employees’ and HR/HRS related accounting entries
• Prepares monthly payroll reconciliation and payroll analysis reports
• Reconciles GLs VS Sub-ledgers for employees’ related expenses and liabilities
• Prepares data required by actuary for liability valuation purposes
• Participates in ongoing drive for simplification & automation
• Ensures timely completion of month-end closing tasks related to payroll, other employees’ related expenses and liabilities raises red flags for any irregularities
• Assists in periodic audits
• Handles other ad hoc tasks within finance when required
The perfect candidate:
Education
Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Commerce/Finance
Experience
2-5 years’ experience in accounting function
