Shipment AssistantDutiesUnder the supervision of the Shipping Supervisor the incumbent tracks the status of the government shipments and coordinates the timely clearance of all inbound and outbound shipments belonging to U.S. Government through Alexandria and Dekhila port authorities customs administration shipping agencies container terminals and freight forwarders. S/he ensures compliance with the Government of Egypt regulations and contractual provisions with shipping partners.
Qualifications and EvaluationsEducation Requirements:
Secondary school certficate is required.

LANGUAGE:
Level III (
Good working knowledge) in speaking/reading/writing of English is required. (This will be tested).
Level III in speaking/reading/writing of Arabic is required.
Requirements:Prior Work Experience: Three years of prior work experience in the shipping field is required.
Job Knowledge: Knowledge of freight forwarding procedures accounting contract implementation regulations and procedures of Government of Egypt customs and shipping lines operating in Egypt.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good interpersonal and communications skills must be able to type in English (35-40 wpm). (This may be tested).
