Job Purpose
To lead Mashreq’s Work From Anywhere (WFA) platform in Egypt ensuring the delivery of a dynamic high quality talent and services platform. (WFA Egypt comprises employees undertaking roles on Remote Working or In-Office from Egypt.)
Working collaboratively with all Group functions who will both use and enable the WFA Egypt platform the role is responsible for developing and evolving the platform into a market leading WFA talent and services platform servicing the strategic digital and operational requirements of Mashreq.
Key Result Areas
Legal Entity Governance & Regulatory requirements
Accountable to ensure that the Mashreq CoE in Egypt (the Legal entity) complies with all Regulatory Financial Tax Legal and other Fiduciary responsibilities
Accountable to ensure that all Regulatory Financial Tax Legal and other Fiduciary activities reports and returns linked with the CoE are completed on time and to the required standard
Accountable for closing all CoE Policy &/or Process gaps within agreed timelines
Ensure that COE related control issues &/or gaps arising from CoE
Internal Audits CoE Business Risk Reviews Peer reviews third party agency audits regulatory reviews and Assurance reviews are actioned and closed within the stipulated timelines.
Maintains a detailed understanding of current and emerging Regulatory Financial Tax Legal requirements that may impact the CoE and develops appropriate recommendations and action plans
Provides timely feedback and recommendations to Executive management & Managing Director Head of CoEs regarding material risks and issues
Knowledge Skills & Experience
The candidate should preferably possess a Post-graduation in Business Management/Chartered
Accountant with a minimum of 15 to 20 years of relevant work experience. The candidate will ideally have experience of leading a small to medium international Captive Shared Services organization/branch in Egypt; including an appreciation of the fiduciary legal and regulatory requirements associated with an
International Captive Shared Services entity in Egypt together with a good knowledge of
Banking products services technologies and operational & regulatory expectations.
The candidate must be organized with excellent stakeholder management and communication (oral and written) skills have strong analytical capabilities along with an ability to work under tight time constraints. The candidate must be confident at operating at all levels within the organisation and have a proven ability to interact and build consensus among a broad set of stakeholders.
Leadership skills related with together with a natural flair for relationship building and stakeholder management.
Knowledge of
Banking products systems operational risks and regulatory expectations
Communication skills with experience in oral presentation & leading meetings and writing formal correspondence.
