A Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for the ongoing identification, development, and qualification of cross-infrastructure solutions business opportunities, including strategic outsourcing engagements. Strategic outsourcing engagements are characterized by a complex combination of technical, business, financial, and human resources issues related to the strategic and tactical direction of clients.
BDE will be responsible for the development of long term business relationship with one strategic or several important clients and will assume the ownership for large complex and long sales cycle opportunities which includes negotiating and closing the deal with the client and ensuring smooth transition to delivery and high client satisfaction.
In so doing, the BDE must demonstrate a clear understanding of the clients business, organization and culture that will enable him/her to address the client needs in a way that is valued by the client and superior to the competition. The BDE must be an extraordinary team leader, an astute business person, exhibit exceptional business insight, show executive/boardroom presence and outstanding judgment.
This role will focus on devising and articulating a unique and compelling value proposition (which typically requiring multi service-line or cross brand integration), so that client decision-makers clearly grasp the short and long-term business and financial value of a relationship with IBM.
Responsibilities:
Developing an extensive portfolio of strategic services opportunities
Building and maintaining extensive executive and senior management relationships in client organizations
Working collaboratively with other IBM units, partners and external consultants as appropriate.
Responsibility for the ongoing qualification of opportunities and make informed recommendations
Owning the opportunity until formal engagement, facilitating the transition to the assigned engagement team, and stay involved after the engagement
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Proven track record in managing, developing and closing complex, multi year, +10M$ deals in Egypt and other countries in the region
In-depth knowledge of the local market, key competitors and potential partners’ offerings
Experience in developing and executing a winning sales strategy
Extensive network within the business, advisory and competitive community.
Business Development and Client Management experience (IT Infrastructure Services)
Strong leadership skills
