Job Purpose

To ensure the reliability, quality, and business readiness of software systems and applications by designing and executing structured testing activities that mitigate operational risk, enhance customer experience, and ensure alignment with business and regulatory requirements prior to production release.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into clear, executable test scenarios.
• Design, document, and execute Test Plans and Test Cases in accordance with QA best practices.
• Perform various testing types, including Functional, Regression, Smoke, and UAT support testing.
• Log, track, and manage software defects using issue-tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Zoho).
• Collaborate closely with Development, Product, and Project Management teams to ensure timely defect resolution.
• Validate system compliance with business rules, governance policies, and regulatory standards when applicable.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and testing standards.
• Prepare and present quality status reports highlighting system readiness and risk exposure before release.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and confirm production deployment readiness.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in:
• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Software Engineering
• or a related technical discipline

Required Experience

• 1–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
• Experience testing Web, Mobile, or Enterprise-level applications.
• Prior experience in regulated industries (e.g., Insurance, Banking, Government) is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong ability to write structured, business-driven test cases.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Basic knowledge of API testing and database validation is a plus.
• Exposure to test automation concepts or tools is considered a value add.
