About the Role
We are looking for a talented and passionate Bakery Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in bakery production, consistency, and quality control, with a deep understanding of doughs, baking techniques, and kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of bakery items (bread, pastries, croissants, desserts, etc.)
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
- Follow standardized recipes and production schedules
- Monitor ingredient quality and freshness
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene according to food safety standards
- Manage daily bakery production and stock requirements
- Coordinate with kitchen and operations teams
- Reduce waste and control food cost
- Assist in developing new bakery items when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bakery Chef or Head Baker
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, fermentation, and dough handling
- Ability to work under pressure and meet daily production targets
- High attention to detail and quality
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Flexibility with working hours and shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary degree or bakery certification (preferred, not mandatory)
- Experience in high-volume or premium bakery concepts
