Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer – Systems to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT systems and infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring system reliability, security, performance, and scalability while supporting business operations and end users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises and/or cloud-based infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualization, networking)
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; proactively resolve issues
• Administer operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and core services (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent)
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Apply system updates, patches, and security hardening in line with best practices
• Troubleshoot complex system and infrastructure issues (2nd/3rd line support)
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams on system integrations
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes
• Support IT projects, upgrades, and migrations
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or IT Infrastructure Engineer
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux environments
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls)
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions
• Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python – preferred)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and IT service management processes
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Knowledge of identity and access management (AD, Azure AD, SSO)
• Experience with configuration management or automation tools
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Linux, AWS, Azure)
