Procurement Officer – Roles & Responsibilities

English Language: MUST (Written & Spoken)

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the company and its customers at the best possible value, while ensuring best price, quality, timely delivery, and full compliance with company policies and procedures.

1. Sourcing

  • Source products and services based on received RFQs.
  • Identify and communicate with local and international suppliers.
  • Prepare Offer Comparison Statements (OCS) including all commercial details.
  • Conduct all supplier communication in English.

2. Negotiation & Purchase Order Process

  • Negotiate with suppliers for:
  • Discounts and competitive pricing
  • Payment terms
  • Register vendors and collect required legal documents:
  • Business License
  • VAT Certificate
  • National Address
  • Create and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Follow up to receive Order Confirmation / Proforma Invoice.
  • Prepare and submit payment requests (advance payments and credit vendors).
  • Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely execution.
  • Negotiate with freight forwarders when required.
  • Prepare Shipping OCS, reviewed and approved by the Supervisor.
  • Coordinate delivery collection or receipt of goods.
  • Perform basic physical checks upon receipt:
  • Visual inspection
  • Photos and serial number recording
  • Document handling and removal
  • Handover materials and documentation to the Sales team.

3. Billing & Documentation

  • Prepare draft bills for vendors, forwarders, and customs.
  • Submit all billing documents to the Accounts team.

Required Qualifications & Skillsلتقديم الان

  • English language is a MUST (emails, negotiations, documentation).
  • 2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or trading.
  • Basic understanding of sourcing, logistics, and supplier coordination.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and email communication.
  • Strong follow-up and coordination
