Role Description:

We are seeking a Senior Project Planning Engineer (Civil Background) to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Giza. In this role, you will take full ownership of planning, scheduling, and project control functions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and organizational requirements.


You will play a critical role in driving project performance through advanced planning methodologies, progress monitoring, risk management, and effective reporting to senior management and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, review, and maintenance of integrated baseline schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Establish project WBS, calendars, resource loading, and cost-loaded schedules where required
  • Monitor project progress, analyze schedule performance, and identify critical path impacts
  • Prepare look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and mitigation strategies
  • Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting (SPI, schedule slippage, completion dates)
  • Support and lead claims management, including Extensions of Time (EOTs), delay analysis (IMPacted As-Planned, Time Impact Analysis, etc.), and associated substantiation
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Construction Teams, Commercial Teams, and Senior Management
  • Act as the primary planning interface with clients, consultants, and external stakeholders
  • Ensure planning deliverables align with contractual requirements, project controls procedures, and reporting standards
  • Mentor junior planning engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Must-have)
  • 8–12+ years of experience in project planning, preferably on large-scale construction Projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; strong working knowledge of MS Project
  • English Fluency B2+ (MUST HAVE), Please do not Apply if English level is below.
  • Solid understanding of project controls, delay analysis, EOT preparation, and contract requirements
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
