Role: Senior Python Developer Location: Remote
Role Overview:We are hiring a Senior Python Developer to own the backend services and data pipelines that power Joveo's AI-driven hiring platform at scale. You will make the architectural decisions, set the code quality bar, and mentor the Python engineers on your team.
Key Responsibilities:- Architect and build production Python services handling high-throughput workloads- Lead design reviews and define engineering standards for Python codebases- Own end-to-end delivery of complex backend initiatives across multiple sprints- Mentor mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance- Drive technical debt reduction and long-term platform health initiatives- Collaborate with ML and data teams to productionize AI-powered features
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Extensive experience building production Python systems at scale- Deep expertise with modern Python frameworks — Fast API, Django, or Flask- Strong knowledge of database design, optimization, and query performance- Experience with distributed systems, async processing, and message queues- Proven track record of mentoring engineers and raising team code quality- Comfort with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and containerized deployments
