Job Description

The Construction Project Manager is a crucial figure in the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring that all phases are completed efficiently and effectively. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and project management skills to oversee projects from planning through to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This position also requires a willingness to work abroad in Europe and the ability to navigate diverse regulatory environments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop comprehensive project plans that outline timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  2. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
  3. Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  4. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality benchmarks.
  5. Prepare and present detailed project reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and challenges.
  6. Manage procurement processes for materials and services essential for construction activities.
  7. Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any concerns promptly.
  8. Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during the construction process, employing strong negotiation skills.
  9. Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately and is readily accessible for audits and reviews.
  10. Lead project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and future steps, fostering a collaborative environment.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience in construction project management or a related field, with a strong background in supervision services and contracting experience.
  2. Willingness to work abroad in Europe and hold a second nationality (Canadian, American, or any other European nationality).
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging with various stakeholders.
  5. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure and adapt to changing requirements.
  7. Proficient in project management software and tools, enhancing project tracking and reporting.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.
  9. Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
  10. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations across different European countries.
