Job Description

The Structural Design Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and reviewing structural systems for buildings, infrastructure, and other construction projects. The role involves ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with applicable codes and standards while optimizing material usage and construction costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed structural designs for reinforced concrete, steel, timber, or composite structures.
• Perform structural analysis using relevant engineering software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, SAFE).
• Review architectural and MEP drawings to ensure design integration and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare technical reports, design calculations, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to address design-related issues.
• Conduct site visits to verify construction progress and ensure designs are implemented correctly.
• Evaluate existing structures for renovation, retrofitting, or load capacity assessment.
• Support value engineering initiatives to optimize structural efficiency and reduce costs.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• have 5 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in structural design software and AutoCAD/Revit.
• Strong knowledge of design codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocode).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
