Job Description
Job Summary:
A leading player in the commodities sector is seeking an experienced Commercial Director—B2B & HoReCa to lead the commercial strategy and sales operations for bulk commodities in business-to-business and hospitality channels. The role will focus on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and managing key accounts in the HoReCa sector, wholesalers, and industrial clients. The successful candidate will bring deep market knowledge, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in commodities trade.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy & Market Development
- Develop and execute commercial strategies for B2B and HoReCa channels covering commodities such as grains, pulses, oilseeds, sugar, and related products.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities in domestic and export markets.
- Design pricing strategies and promotional plans aligned with business objectives.
Sales & Business Growth
- Lead sales teams to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
- Expand the customer base by securing long-term contracts with key HoReCa operators, food processors, and distributors.
- Negotiate high-value sales agreements, ensuring optimal terms and delivery schedules.
Key Account & Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with strategic customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
- Oversee customer service excellence to ensure repeat business and brand loyalty.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking forums.
Operations & Coordination
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate demand planning with procurement and production teams.
- Ensure all sales activities are in compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and contractual obligations.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop sales and commercial teams across multiple regions.
- Set clear KPIs, track performance, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Foster a results-driven culture with high standards of accountability and professionalism.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in B2B and HoReCa sales, with at least 5 years in a senior commercial leadership role.
- Strong experience in commodities trading, including grains, pulses, oilseeds, and sugar.
- Proven track record in managing large accounts, negotiating high-value contracts, and expanding market presence.
- Knowledge of domestic and international commodity markets and trade dynamics.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
