Job Description

Astrophysics EMEA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates, who are welcome and will be given priority. The Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and technical support of X-ray security inspection equipment across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The role also includes providing both customer and dealer training to ensure optimal equipment performance and user proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission X-ray security equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure maximum system uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Deliver operator training for customers at the end of every installation.
• Conduct technical training sessions for dealers’ engineers to enhance their servicing capabilities.
• Prepare service and installation reports with clear documentation of all work performed.
• Collaborate with the technical support and engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
• Frequent travel across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (up to 70%) to support regional projects and service needs.

Skills

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply and will be given priority.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for delivering customer and dealer training.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively across EMEA.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse environments.
• Fluency in English (French is a plus).
