Sheet Metal Design Engineer

We're looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a proficient user of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Cypcut software, with a strong understanding of bending allowances and sheet metal fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities

Design and develop precise sheet metal components and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, including flat patterns and fabrication instructions.
Utilize Cypcut software to program cutting paths for laser and plasma cutting machines.

Calculate and apply bending allowances accurately to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet specifications.
Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot design issues and optimize parts for manufacturing efficiency.
Conduct thorough quality checks and maintain detailed records of design revisions.
Required Qualifications

Proven experience in sheet metal design and fabrication.
Expertise in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and creating flat patterns.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
Experience with Cypcut or similar CAM software for sheet metal cutting.
Strong knowledge of bending allowances, material properties, and various sheet metal forming techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
