We are hiring an Accountant for a leading insurance company located in Mohandseen.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements, and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives
- Assisting in the preparation of “Budget vs. Actual” variance reports and following-up and documents significant variances as required
- Recording financial transactions and other account information to keep records up-to-date
- Processing checks and vouchers – Disbursement entry.
- Checking records updated by self or others to make sure numbers, calculations, and codes are correct. Fix or mark errors.
- Following Egyptian Tax Law and the Company’s procedures.
- Monitoring and controlling resources.
- Providing regular feedback to the Supervisor and/or the Deputy Manager on the daily problems that might occur.
- Being aware of the department’s procedures and using its instructions to match the quality standards.
- Providing assistance and answers to the Financial Accountants' inquiries as needed.
- Record fixed asset transactions and keep a log for assets, and involve the fixed asset inventory.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration (English Section) with emphasis in Accounting.
- 3 years’ experience as an Accountant is a Must.
- Very good to Excellent is a Must
- insurance or Life insurance basic knowledge.
- Knowledge and proficiency in Egyptian Accounting Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Accounting Standards, and Statements of Auditing Standards (SAS)
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office package (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and to use various accounting software packages
- Ability to understand financial reports
- Accurate with numbers/quantitative skills
