Tempo Retail Group (TRG) is an international apparel group headquartered in Vienna with operations in Egypt, Dubai, and the USA. To ensure our products meet the highest international standards, we are hiring a Garment Technologist to join our production team.

Your Role

As our Garment Technologist, you’ll be the guardian of fit and quality. From first sample to bulk production, you’ll evaluate garments, identify technical issues, and ensure every product meets brand specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review all samples (proto, fit, size sets, PP) for fit, construction, and measurements.
• Identify and correct issues such as armhole depth, sleeve pitch, neckline, balance, and tolerances.
• Work with suppliers’ pattern makers to implement accurate pattern corrections.
• Prepare and maintain tech packs, POM tables, and tolerances.
• Approve fabrics, trims, lab dips, and finishing methods in collaboration with the team.
• Ensure garments meet quality standards (shrinkage, colorfastness, handfeel, durability).
• Communicate clear, professional sample comments to suppliers, ensuring fast and accurate revisions.
• Support QC during inline and final inspections.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience as Garment Technologist, Fit Technician, or Technical Designer.
• Strong understanding of patterns, grading, and garment construction.
• Experience with knitwear (t-shirts, polos, hoodies) and ideally sportswear/athleisure.
• Ability to translate sample problems into precise pattern corrections.
• Knowledge of fabric behavior (shrinkage, GSM, drape, recovery).
• Familiar with international standards (AQL, ISO, OEKO-TEX).
• Excellent communication skills for working with factories and international teams.
• Based in Cairo/Egypt
