Position Overview

EDECS is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Technical Office Team Leader to manage engineering projects from initiation to completion. This critical role involves ensuring all projects adhere to technical specifications, budget constraints, and established timelines. The Team Leader will be responsible for providing technical expertise, supervising design and implementation activities, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering seamless cross-departmental collaboration for efficient project execution.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership and Management

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects through all phases, from conception and design to development and implementation, ensuring successful delivery.
• Ensure all projects meet defined technical specifications, budget requirements, and established deadlines.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions, consistently maintaining a focus on high quality and innovation.

Technical Expertise and Oversight

• Provide expert technical support and guidance to the team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve technical documents, drawings, and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in technical office processes and methodologies.

Team Development and Mentorship

• Provide consistent follow-up, mentorship, and training to junior engineers, actively supporting their professional growth and skill development.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Delegate tasks effectively and manage team workload to ensure project timelines are met.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with other departments (e.g., procurement, construction, project management) and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and smooth execution.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels across all project stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in technical office
• Proven experience in a technical office, with a significant portion in a leadership or managerial role.
• Revit is a must
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design software, and project management methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively manage a team and coordinate with various departments.
