We are seeking a highly experienced Accreditation & Quality Assurance Specialist with a solid background in educational quality assurance, accreditation inspections, and academic assessment. This role focuses on building and maintaining quality frameworks, managing accreditation processes, and ensuring continuous compliance with both international standards (ISO, BTEC, TVET) and UK-based academic standards.
The ideal candidate will combine expertise in accreditation management, ISO quality frameworks, and curriculum development, with strong knowledge of UK accreditation standards and processes. This is a pivotal role requiring close collaboration with accrediting bodies, government agencies, and private sector partners to drive quality in education and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities
Accreditation Process Management
- Prepare and submit comprehensive accreditation documentation required by accrediting bodies.
- Coordinate and conduct internal reviews and mock inspections to evaluate readiness for accreditation.
- Manage and facilitate site visits or virtual reviews by accreditation authorities.
- Develop and oversee implementation plans addressing recommendations from accreditation reviews.
- Maintain expert knowledge of UK accreditation standards and international frameworks (ISO 21001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, BTEC).
- Act as the primary liaison with all accreditation and awarding bodies (local, regional, and UK-based).
- Continuously monitor changes in accreditation standards to maintain compliance.
Quality Assurance Framework Development
- Design and implement organisation-wide Educational Organization Management Systems (EOMS) and quality assurance frameworks.
- Collect, analyse, and report data related to academic quality and performance indicators.
- Plan and execute internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Develop and deliver training programmes focused on quality assurance in education.
- Ensure compliance with UK data protection, education regulations, and accreditation audit standards.
Project Planning and Leadership
- Develop detailed project plans including objectives, deliverables, timelines, and communication strategies.
- Conduct gap analyses and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Establish clear project roles, responsibilities, and communication channels.
- Proactively manage and resolve project challenges and risks.
- Provide regular project status reports and presentations to leadership.
Governance and Compliance
- Establish and manage governance frameworks for accreditation, quality assurance, and compliance.
- Develop comprehensive manuals, handbooks, SOPs, workflows, and KPIs.
- Conduct regular governance audits and prepare performance reports.
- Provide training and guidance on governance, accreditation standards, and compliance best practices.
- Align accreditation and quality assurance initiatives with the organisation’s risk management strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 8–12 years’ experience in quality assurance, accreditation, and curriculum development in education/TVET.
- Proven track record with UK accreditation bodies and academic standards.
- Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 21001 / ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience managing Pearson BTEC qualifications (Levels 3–5, HND).
- Strong analytical, organisational, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities (English & Arabic).
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
- Experience in managing accreditation processes within UK educational institutions.
- Direct involvement with UK-based academic accreditation bodies.
- Experience working with international development projects (USAID, NGOs, or equivalent).
