Job Summary: The Senior PR Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing public relations strategies that enhance group brands reputation, creating positive relationships with media partners, stakeholders, and drive awareness of our products/services/initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of media landscapes, and a proven track record in securing impactful media coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
1- Strategy Development & Execution:
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns aligned with marketing and business objectives.
- Identify key messages, target audiences, and appropriate communication channels.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on PR campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
2- Media Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with key media contacts (journalists, editors, influencers) across print, broadcast, and digital platforms relevant to PG industries.
- Proactively pitch compelling stories, press releases, and expert commentary to secure positive media coverage.
- Respond to media inquiries and facilitate interviews with company spokespersons.
- Manage media lists and ensure they are regularly updated.
3- Content Creation:
- Write and edit high-quality PR materials, including press releases, media advisories, FAQs, talking points and speeches.
- Develop compelling story angles and narratives that resonate with target audiences and media.
4- Reputation Management:
- Monitor media coverage and social media for brand mentions and industry trends.
- Identify potential reputation risks and develop proactive and reactive communication strategies.
- Assist in crisis communication efforts, if necessary.
5- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, product development, and executive leadership, to ensure consistent messaging and integrated communications.
- Support internal communications initiatives as needed.
6- Event Management:
- Assist in the planning and execution of PR events, press conferences, and media briefings.
7- Market Research & Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and media landscape changes to identify new PR opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in public relations, either in-house or with an agency, with a significant portion in a senior capacity.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and executing PR campaigns that deliver measurable results.
- Strong established relationships with media contacts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, editing, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in crafting compelling narratives and adapting content for various platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
