Job Description

Responsible for preparing cost estimates for structural steel projects, including fabrication, erection, and associated works. The team works closely with the tendering team to analyze project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to develop accurate and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, BOQs, and specifications to determine material, labor, and time requirements.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and pricing summaries.
• Liaise with procurement and fabrication teams to verify material pricing and production rates.
• Participate in technical and commercial bid preparation.
• Support the senior estimator in value engineering and project cost optimization.
• Maintain and update cost databases and vendor quotations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• BSc in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in steel structure estimation or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Familiarity with fabrication processes, welding, and steel detailing.
