Job Title: Laboratory Specialist
Location: [6 October - Giza]
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Responsibilities:
o Chemical, Microbiological, and Environmental Analysis: Perform detailed analyses of raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with established specifications and quality standards.
o External Analysis Coordination: Oversee and coordinate the sending of samples for external testing, ensuring results are obtained within the agreed-upon timeframe.
o Analysis Scheduling: Ensure that all annual and quarterly analyses are performed on time, adhering to the planned schedule.
o Lab Equipment and Materials Management: Manage laboratory tools, equipment, and materials, including ensuring their availability, functionality, and timely procurement through purchasing requests.
o Test Result Interpretation and Reporting: Analyze and interpret test results accurately, documenting findings and ensuring proper reporting of data. Troubleshoot laboratory equipment malfunctions or inaccuracies as necessary.
o Non-Conformity Reporting (NCR): Prepare NCR reports when deviations from quality standards occur, including root cause analysis and recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
o Communication with Supervisors: Report any issues, technical failures, or status updates regarding lab activities to the direct supervisor in a clear and timely manner.
o Analysis Plan Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain the laboratory analysis plan to ensure it reflects current practices, timelines, and requirements.
- Secondary Responsibilities:
o Shelf-Life Studies: Perform and track shelf-life studies for products in accordance with the established plan to monitor product stability and quality over time.
o Temperature Monitoring and Product Expiry: Conduct daily checks on refrigerators, freezers, and raw egg storage areas to ensure proper temperature control and verify product expiry dates.
o Laboratory Cleanliness: Ensure that the laboratory is maintained in a clean and organized condition at all times to comply with safety and quality standards.
o Data Management: Follow up and ensure that all relevant data is accurately entered into the chemical, microbiological, and export tracking sheets, maintaining up-to-date and complete records.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related science field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory or quality control role, with a focus on chemical, microbiological, and environmental testing.
- Familiarity with consumer behavior principles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
