Job Description
To manage and oversee the installation of signaling systems (CBTC/ BBRS and all related equipment) across all project sites, track side & Depot, ensuring compliance with design, safety, time, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning & Coordination, develop and manage the signaling installation schedule aligned with the overall project phases.
- Coordinate with civil, trackwork, telecom, and power teams to ensure interface readiness and access for signaling works.
- Lead and supervise signaling installation activities at stations, trackside, and the depot.
- Lead installation coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders to assure the access dates, meeting with (civil contractors, client, authorities, suppliers), NAT (National Authority for Tunnels), consultants, and the internal project team, to align on project requirements, timelines, and technical specifications.
- Manage weekly, monthly meetings with subcontractors and provide the required MOM, KPI reports, for direct management.
- Lead the Testing & Commissioning (T&C) teams during pre-commissioning and dynamic testing, give the support to close the snag list and sign required approvals from client until completion.
- Prepare and present regular updates, reports, and documentation to keep all parties informed and aligned on installation Workfront.
- Proactively troubleshoot interface issues that could impact project timelines, safety, or operational continuity, proposing alternative solutions and adjustments as needed.
- Validate installation drawings and method statements, resolve on-site technical issues in coordination with the design and T&C teams.
- Ensure that all interface activities adhere to project standards, local and international regulations, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with the quality assurance team to monitor compliance with industry standards and project-specific technical guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to CBTC system requirements, manufacturer specifications, and international standards.
- Monitor daily site activities and report progress, deviations, and risks.
Quality & Safety Assurance:
- Implement quality control processes for signaling equipment installation.
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Conduct and support inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Ensure accurate documentation of as-built installations, redlines, and interface records.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Construction and Signaling Project Managers.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Signaling, Electronics, Railway Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in railway signaling, with at least 5 years in managerial role on metro or railway projects with strong knowledge of CBTC signaling systems, Experience in managing subcontractors and multi-discipline coordination, familiar with international standards .
- Fluent in English is a must.
Key Skills:
- Leadership and team management, problem-solving and decision-making
- Interface and stakeholder management, familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
