The Role

We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design and scaling of the AI systems behind the platform. You’ll take ownership of retrieval pipelines, model routing, and evaluation frameworks across cloud and self-hosted LLMs.

This role is deeply hands-on: you’ll turn prototypes into production systems, partner with backend engineers, and help define the technical foundations of a next-generation LegalTech product used by global teams.

What You’ll Do

• Build production-grade RAG, reranking, and summarization pipelines.
• Own evaluation datasets, quality metrics, and CI/CD model testing.
• Architect model routing across OpenAI, Gemini, and self-hosted models (DeepSeek, Llama via vLLM/TGI).
• Implement guardrails, redaction, and privilege-control layers for safe enterprise AI.
• Automate data quality, cleaning, and document-classification workflows.
• Define metrics, dashboards, and observability for model performance and cost.
• Develop APIs and services that bring AI features into product and backend layers.
• Contribute to system design, specs, and long-term AI architecture.

What Makes You a Fit

• 4+ years in ML or backend engineering, with 1+ year building LLM systems in production.
• Strong Python skills (FastAPI, Pydantic, LangChain/LangGraph).
• Experience with vector dbs (Qdrant, OpenSearch) & PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure, Anthropic) and serving frameworks (vLLM, TGI).
• Deep understanding of embeddings, RAG, reranking, evaluation.
• Experience building SaaS or multi-tenant platforms.
• Background in document workflows, OCR, or legal/enterprise content.
