Responsibilities
- Leads the team in managing the contract lifecycle from pre-bid to project close-out.
- Responsible for the timely preparations of legal and contractual documents such as Request for Proposal (RFP) and other legal, contractual, or tender packages as required
- Leads the team to carry out the pre-award activities, including pre-award schedules, provides advertisement for tenders, participates in the pre-award meetings, and evaluates and negotiates a bid.
- Advises on contractual matters at the project level about the strategy for conducting and recording contract pre-award negotiations.
- Manages the administration of the construction contract and the timely issuance of notifications, monitoring of milestones, and payment in cooperation with the project team.
- Manage and supervise monitoring, drafting, and reviewing all contractual correspondence.
- Verifying that all insurance and guarantees required are in place and maintained.
- Manage and supervise the carrying out of contractual change management processes, including drafting and reviewing change orders, claims, back charges, penalties, and the defense of incoming claims.
- Manage and supervise the preparation, drafting, and management of notices, Contract Risk Registers, Claims, and Compensation events logs.
- Coordinate and liaise with the technical, finance, legal, and project teams and Clients to mitigate and/or resolve possible disputes.
- Manage and supervise reviewing contractual notices of claims and providing contractual advice to Engineering in their administration of the Construction Contract.
- Leads the team in drafting commercial terms for design engineering and/or construction services for approval by the Project Director and the Client.
- Facilitate the preparation of contract changes and the relevant variation orders.
- Facilitate contract close-out procedures to ensure all contract terms and conditions are complied with before final payment to the Contractor.
- Ensure that all contractual procedures are implemented and maintained
- Advises and manages all contractual matters.
- Advises and manages the review of the Contractor's claims in accordance with the Conditions of the Contract, ensuring the Client's interests are protected.
- Advises and manages the Estimation and Project Control teams on the contractual implications of change orders.
- Advises and manages to prepare and maintain the Engineer's Instructions, Variation Orders, and Claim Logs.
- Familiarise himself with the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures. Ensure compliance with these requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line company General Manager.

- Travel as needed to project sites and client offices.
Performance Expectations
- Lead and develop teams of Consultants and Senior Consultants.
- Review and redraft (if required) the work product of Consultants and Senior Consultants to ensure quality.
- Develop innovative methods to provide a work product and present findings to the engagement lead.
- Generate work product for internal and Client reviews.
- Develop and deliver findings to clients.
- Represent Innovative Management and Arrow Legal International at client meetings as necessary.
- Pursue professional development initiatives and industry certifications.
- Attend industry events and build a network of potential clients.
- Conduct business visits for the company's regional offices (when required) - Special allowances shall be provided in such a case.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience.
- Membership in RICS, CIOB, or equivalent is desirable.
- Strong background and understanding of FIDIC forms of Contract, particularly design & build.
- Knowledgeable in all contractual & legal matters relevant to the industry, including claim management.
- Great leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
