عن الدورة

This Organic Chemistry Foundations course is designed to build a strong conceptual base for students starting organic chemistry or preparing for exams. The course introduces the fundamentals of organic chemistry, beginning with basic concepts such as types of formulas, homologous series, hybridization, sigma and pi bonds, and molecular structure.

A major emphasis is placed on IUPAC nomenclature, guiding learners step by step through the naming of hydrocarbons, skeletal structures, alkenes, alcohols, carboxylic acids, alicyclic compounds, and aromatic systems. Students will learn how to correctly name organic compounds using modern IUPAC rules and apply them confidently in problem-solving and exam-style questions.

The course also covers isomerism in depth, including structural and stereoisomerism, E/Z nomenclature, chiral centers, and drawing isomers of organic molecules. Key reaction types in organic chemistry are explained clearly, alongside important reactions commonly tested in introductory courses.

Additional topics include aromaticity, reaction classification, organic word problems, and quick revision summaries to reinforce learning. With clear explanations and practical examples, this course is ideal for high school students, first-year undergraduates, and exam candidates seeking clarity and confidence in organic chemistry fundamentals.
