DaVinci Resolve Fusion Beginner Course – Motion Graphics & VFX Fundamentals

This beginner course introduces learners to DaVinci Resolve Fusion, the advanced motion graphics and visual effects workspace inside DaVinci Resolve. The course is designed for beginners who want to understand node-based compositing and start creating professional visual effects and animations.

Students begin with an introduction to the Fusion interface, learning how nodes, viewers, and workflow panels operate inside the compositing environment. The course explains the difference between traditional layer-based editing and Fusion’s node-based system.

A major focus is working with media inside Fusion, including importing clips, organizing assets, and connecting nodes correctly for efficient visual effects workflows. Learners will understand how media flows through node structures during compositing.

The course also covers keyframing fundamentals, teaching how to animate movement, scale, rotation, opacity, and other visual properties. Students will learn how to create smooth animations and motion graphics using timeline-based controls inside Fusion.

Another important section focuses on the Merge Node, one of Fusion’s core compositing tools. Learners will understand how to combine visual layers, effects, and graphics into complete scenes.

By the end of the course, students will have a strong understanding of Fusion basics and the confidence to create beginner-level motion graphics and visual effects projects inside DaVinci Resolve.
