JOB DESCRIPTION



1.Position Tilt: HVAC ENGINEER

Location: Sur


2. ROLE PURPOSE


The HVAC Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, engineering support, and assurance for all HVAC-related scopeswithin OLNG majorprojects and brownfield modification works. He/She ensures that HVAC design,implementation, testing, and commissioning complywith OLNG standards, international codes, HSE requirements, and project specifications.

The role supports the Lead Project Engineer / Project Manager in delivering HVAC project scopes safely, on schedule, andwithin approved cost,while ensuring highreliability, operability, and maintainability of the HVAC systems.


3. ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES:


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide technical leadership and engineering support for HVAC scope development, design reviews, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Review and validate HVAC engineering design deliverables including calculations, heat load analysis, layout drawings, equipment specifications, and sizing.
  • Ensure HVAC designcompliance with OLNG Technical ControlPlan, international codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO), and project specifications.
  • Participate in technical clarifications, bid evaluations, and selection of HVAC contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Review vendor documents, datasheets, equipment selections, FAT procedures, and test reports, ensuring conformity to project requirements.
  • Support preparation of the scopeof work for ITT packages related to HVAC modifications,



4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, ANDWORKING CONDITIONS


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (preferred) or HVAC Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HVAC design, engineering, or project execution (preferably in oil & gas or heavy industrial facilities).
  • Knowledge of HVAC standards, design software, and brownfield project constraints is essential.
  • Experience in LNG, petrochemical, or process plant environments is an advantage


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Plant based role with baselocation as Sur.
  • 5/2 work pattern.

JOB SKILLS

  • Strong technical background in HVAC engineering design, calculations, and equipment selection.
  • Experience in brownfield and greenfield engineering environments, with exposure to operations and maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret HVAC drawings, schematics, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and vendor documents.
  • Demonstrated strongHSE awareness related to HVAC systems and installation activities.
  • Good understanding of EPC processes, project workflows, and technical assurance requirements.
  • Strong communication skillswith ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to managemultiple priorities, resolvetechnical issues, and maintain progress under tight schedules.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise soundengineering judgment.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Strong coordination skillsto engage withcontractors, vendors, andinternal stakeholders.
