Day- to-day operations

• Ensure that safe working environmental rules and practices are understood, implemented and consistently followed-up by plant employees, suppliers and contractors
• Define, follow-up and optimize environmental expenses
• Implement safety and environment regulations
• Follow up ISO procedures, documentation and auditing
• Ensure adoption and adherence to company’s standards, norms and best practices in addition to governmental regulations
• Manage the performance of the environment activities including effective use of the performance indicators
• Create and maintain motivating working environment within the plant.
• Ensure regulatory compliance of environmental activities
• Ensure, together in collaboration with production, that process is operated in a way to minimize emission.
• Follow up the technical matters affecting environment (pollution caused by the plant, sales of secondary products, waste) with the official body responsible for delivering permits.
• Monitor the plant's environmental performances with the optimization department and run a campaign based on the results (raising awareness).
• Make sure that relevant areas of the quarry are restored after they have been exhausted.
• Report all environment related issues on regular basis
• Issue periodical statistical environment reports
• Follow up dust measuring devices and take actions in case malfunctioning
• Issue daily reports covering environmental activities
• Make daily tours in the plant with notes about housekeeping and low dust emissions
• Existence of environmental action program in the plant planning cycle and tools
• Assure no environmental accident related to the plant, supplier and contractors
• Periodic audits with corrective action plans
• Number of non-conformities unresolved from one year to the next
• Full knowledge of the regulations and requirements of the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) and (MWAN ).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineer or Related field is required. Masters Degree may be preferred for certain position.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous Experience in Environmental Engineer 2-4 Years
