Junior Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant (Bexio)
We are seeking a precise and reliable Junior Bookkeeper to take ownership of our daily financial administration. This role is focused on maintaining an accurate, up-to-the-minute financial overview of our company using Bexio.
Key Responsibilities- Invoicing & Accounts Payable: Accurately log all incoming supplier invoices, ensuring correct categorization and digital filing.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily matching of bank statements with open invoices and manual entries to ensure the liquidity account is fully reconciled.
- VAT (MWST) Management: Assign correct VAT codes to transactions and assist in the preparation and reconciliation of periodic VAT filings.
- Payment Runs: Prepare payment files for approval to ensure suppliers are paid on time.
- Financial Maintenance: Monitor open items (debtors/creditors) and assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Accounting Background: Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and the Swiss chart of accounts.
- Software Proficiency: Prior experience working with Bexio is a significant advantage. Familiarity with cloud-based accounting workflows is required.
- VAT Knowledge: Practical understanding of Swiss VAT rates and reconciliation processes.
- Detail-Oriented: A "zero-error" mindset when it comes to matching numbers and dates.
- Language: Professional proficiency in English.
