Job Description
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems and procedures to ensure optimal financial performance across all manufacturing operations.
- Analyze production costs, material usage, labor expenses, and overhead to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and finance to ensure accurate cost allocation and budgeting.
- Monitor and report on key cost drivers, providing actionable insights to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
- Lead regular cost audits and inventory reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
- Establish and maintain standard costing methodologies, updating as necessary to reflect changes in production processes or market conditions.
- Support the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial analysis to track performance against targets.
- Train and mentor staff on cost control best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to recommend innovative cost management strategies.
- Track production yields, waste levels, and operational efficiency.
- Establish and manage the documentation cycle for controlling raw materials, packaging, and finished goods stock movements (Issue – Return – Adjustments).
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and perform regular stock reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly costing performance reports and dashboards for management review.
