Job Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end import operations for raw materials, components, and accessories related to office furniture manufacturing.
- Coordinate with international suppliers of wood panels, hardware, fittings, metal parts, upholstery materials, and accessories.
- Handle and review import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin).
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs clearance agents.
- Monitor customs clearance and ensure timely delivery to the factory.
- Calculate and control import costs (freight, customs duties, insurance, and related charges).
- Ensure imported materials meet approved specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate closely with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, and Finance departments.
- Prepare periodic reports on import activities and shipment status.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international import regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics, or a related field.
- 2:4 years of experience as an Import Specialist in the office furniture manufacturing industry (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of importing furniture raw materials and components.
- Good understanding of customs regulations and international shipping procedures.
- Strong command of English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience dealing with suppliers from Europe, China, Turkey, or Malaysia is a plus.
