Startup Co-founder & Venture Lead | FMCG, F&B & FoodTech

Founding Team Equity | Backed by GIL Venture Studio

The Role

Own a venture from concept to commercial viability. You'll design the business model, build the MVP, validate product-market fit, hire the team, and scale to funding and beyond - all with studio resources and founding equity.

What You'll BuildStartup Design & Launch

  • Validate business models through market research, customer discovery, and competitive analysis
  • Design MVPs within budget constraints and execute pilot launches
  • Build financial models: unit economics, CAC/LTV, contribution margin, burn rate projections, P&L ownership
  • Conduct market sizing and define go-to-market strategies
  • Structure cofounder agreements and partnership deals
  • Prepare investment memos, pitch decks, and lead fundraising efforts as ventures reach funding stages

Achieving Product-Market Fit

  • Define north star metrics and KPIs to validate hypotheses
  • Execute build-measure-learn loops and rapid experimentation
  • Launch pilots and validate PMF through retention metrics and revenue traction
  • Make data-driven go/no-go decisions, avoiding sunk cost fallacy
  • Report traction metrics and pivot recommendations to studio leadership
  • Optimize conversion funnels and customer lifecycle management

Product & Operations

  • Own product roadmap, feature prioritization, and continuous improvement
  • Lead cross-functional teams: tech, marketing, operations, sales, customer success
  • Drive acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention across B2C/B2B models
  • Implement scalable systems: SOPs, workflow automation, process optimization
  • Apply lean principles, agile methodologies, and kaizen frameworks

Team Formation

  • Design org structures for early-stage and growth-stage teams
  • Source, evaluate, and recruit cofounders, key hires, and service providers
  • Negotiate deal structures, vesting schedules, and equity agreements
  • Conduct due diligence on external partners and suppliers
  • Build high-performing teams while controlling overhead costs

Who You AreRequired Experience

  • 5+ years in venture building, startup operations, product management, or entrepreneurship
  • Proven track record launching new ventures, products, or business units from concept to market
  • Deep experience in FoodTech, F&B operations, cloud kitchens, marketplace platforms, SaaS, consumer tech, creator economy, or FMCG innovation
  • Strong financial modeling: Excel/Google Sheets proficiency with advanced functions, financial forecasting, scenario analysis
  • Experience managing P&Ls, budgets, and unit economics in early-stage businesses
  • Track record building and managing cross-functional teams in resource-constrained environments
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (written and verbal)
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related field

  • Founded or co-founded a startup or multiple tech startups (regardless of outcome)
  • Experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting
  • Background in supply chain optimization, logistics, operations research, or industrial engineering
  • Expertise in growth marketing, performance marketing, or digital acquisition
  • Network in MENA startup ecosystem, investor community, or tech industry
  • Technical background: coding, data science, product analytics, or engineering management

Work Environment
