Job Summary:

The Team Leader – Core Banking Applications Support is responsible for overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of the Temenos T24 core banking system and related applications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of core banking application support specialists.
  • Assign tasks, monitor team performance, and provide training and mentorship.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Oversee daily operations and monitor system performance to ensure optimal availability.
  • Provide second-level technical support for Temenos T24 and related applications.
  • Suggest and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and system reliability.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for technical issues related to the core banking system.
  • Analyze recurring incidents and implement preventive measures to reduce system downtime.
  • Maintain detailed logs of incidents and corrective actions for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather and document system enhancement requirements.
  • Oversee testing, validation, and deployment of upgrades, patches, and system customizations.
  • Ensure minimal operational disruption during system update deployments.
  • Act as a liaison between the IT department, business units, and external vendors for application support.
  • Work with stakeholders to align core banking applications with business goals.
  • Coordinate with vendors (e.g., Temenos) to address technical issues and system optimizations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and security standards for core banking operations.
  • Support periodic audits and assess system configurations to mitigate risks.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for compliance and security purposes.
  • Maintain accurate records of system workflows, incident resolutions, and configuration changes.
  • Prepare periodic reports on system performance, incident trends, and enhancement results.
  • Ensure all documentation is up to date and aligned with audit and compliance requirements.

Job Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in core banking application support or IT operations.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Hands-on experience with Temenos T24, system upgrades, and core banking integrations.
