- The Business Development Manager - Perfume Industry is responsible for driving the growth, visibility, and profitability of the perfume business in Kuwait. This role focuses on developing strategic partnerships, expanding B2B and corporate accounts, enhancing brand positioning, and identifying new business opportunities in both retail and corporate segments. The incumbent should possess deep industry knowledge of the fragrance and luxury sector, excellent business acumen, and strong connections within the Kuwait market.
Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Market Expansion
• Develop and implement business development strategies to increase perfume sales across retail, wholesale, and corporate channels.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, distribution partnerships, and corporate gifting accounts.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, pricing strategies, and untapped customer segments.
• Expand product reach by targeting high-value clients such as hotels, spas, airlines, real estate developers, and corporate offices for fragrance partnerships and gifting solutions.
2. Client Relationship Management
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and corporate clients.
• Develop customized fragrance solutions and promotional programs to strengthen client loyalty.
• Negotiate commercial terms, close high-value deals, and ensure timely execution of contracts and deliveries.
3. Brand & Product Development Support
• Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to enhance the brand image, product positioning, and promotional campaigns.
• Provide insights on fragrance preferences, packaging trends, and consumer behavior in the Kuwait market.
• Support new product launches and ensure alignment with local market trends and customer expectations.
4. Corporate Accounts & Institutional Sales
• Identify and secure B2B sales opportunities, including corporate gifting, co-branding, and customized perfume collections.
• Develop annual business plans for corporate clients, focusing on revenue targets, relationship building, and client retention.
• Liaise with procurement and decision-makers from large corporations, government entities, and hospitality groups.
5. Financial & Performance Management
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for retail and corporate segments.
• Prepare business forecasts, performance reports, and ROI analyses for management review.
• Ensure profitability through cost control, efficient pricing, and effective account management.
6. Leadership & Collaboration
• Mentor and guide sales or business development executives where applicable.
• Work cross-functionally with marketing, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations and excellent client service.
• Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking events in Kuwait and GCC.

Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in business development or key account management within the Perfume, Cosmetics, or Luxury Retail industry.
• Strong network and understanding of Kuwait’s fragrance and corporate gifting market.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market presence.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Bilingual (English & Arabic) preferred.
