Job Description
- Prepare and review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents in accordance with project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with design, site, and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within overall project plans.
- Conduct technical analysis of electrical systems, identifying potential design or installation issues and proposing effective solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules, progress reports, and documentation for electrical works.
- Review and verify compliance of electrical installations with approved drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical queries and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Support the site team by providing technical guidance and clarifications related to electrical works.
- Participate in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives for electrical systems.
- Ensure all electrical documentation is accurately maintained and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on the latest industry standards, codes, and technologies relevant to electrical engineering in construction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of proven experience in a technical office or site-based electrical engineering role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards applicable to building and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical design and drafting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret and review technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Experience in preparing technical submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
