Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Design Engineer to design and develop power, control, instrumentation, communication, and specialty cables based on customer specifications. This role will be supporting Doha Cables – Qatar and involves close coordination with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Sales to ensure accurate, cost‑effective, and manufacturable cable designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design drawings, Bill of Materials, and cable datasheets using software or equivalent tools.
• Ensure compliance with relevant international standards.
• Support product development initiatives and evaluate new materials, insulation, and sheathing compounds.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality of designed cables.
• Provide technical support to sales teams in the preparation of customer quotations and technical proposals.
• Participate in failure analysis, testing, and validation of new designs and prototypes.
• Maintain complete documentation and design records for traceability and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of cable construction, materials selection, and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cable design in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cable construction, materials selection, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, CYMCAP, and MS Office.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
