Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Review MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC) drawings, BOQs, and specifications for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with project requirements and local regulations.
• Prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities) from drawings for mechanical (including HVAC), electrical, and plumbing.
• Perform quantity take-off, cost estimation, and preparation of quotations for tender submissions and variation works.
• Coordinate and integrate MEP services with architectural and structural disciplines for seamless execution.
• Conduct detailed site inspections to verify installation quality, adherence to approved drawings, and compliance with standards.
• Supervise and manage own team and subcontractors for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems during renovation or fit-out works.
• Prepare material submittals, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and method statements as required for project approvals and execution.
• Identify site constraints, design discrepancies, and propose practical engineering solutions to ensure timely project delivery.
• Plan and monitor MEP work schedules, manpower deployment, and resource requirements to achieve target milestones.
• Prepare daily and weekly work progress reports for HVAC and MEP works, ensuring timely submission to management and client.
• Prepare work completion reports upon finishing tasks and obtain necessary signatures from the client for verification and approvals.
• Assist in procurement by reviewing technical offers, recommending suitable materials and equipment (including HVAC equipment), and coordinating with suppliers for best pricing.
• Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and handover of HVAC and other MEP systems in coordination with clients and consultants.
• Prepare incident reports for any accidents, near misses, or safety violations occurring on site, and implement corrective actions in coordination with the Safety Officer.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during execution of all MEP activities.
• Attend coordination meetings with consultants, clients, and internal teams to resolve site issues and achieve project objectives.

Skills

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in MEP execution including HVAC systems, BOQ preparation, estimation, and tendering, preferably in renovation, fit-out, or contracting works in the UAE or GCC.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems design, installation, and testing/commissioning procedures, as well as electrical and plumbing
• Familiarity with UAE local authorities’ regulations and approval procedures (DEWA, SEWA, Civil Défense, etc.).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting MEP drawings and specifications.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project
