Job Description

• Performing Site Inspection of the Electrical and ELV/ICT Works.
• Reviewing of the Shop Drawings of the Electrical and ELV/ICT Works.
• Monitoring the Contractor’s daily activities at Site and maintaining records of these activities.
• Drafting Non-Conformity Reports for non-compliance works.
• Attending and Witnessing the Testing and Commissioning Activities of the Electrical and ELV/ICT Works.
• Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the Contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
• Reporting any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
• Monitor daily site activities and ensure proper installation practices are followed,
• Maintaining records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
• Preparing surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and non-conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
• Checking and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.

Skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university.
• 5+ years of experience in site and supervision of construction of electrical and low current systems (power systems, lighting systems, fire alarm, security & access control, intercom, structure cabling and data networks, nurse call and public address systems) in buildings, particularly in hospitals. The role involves review of shop drawings & material submittals, inspection of materials & installations, and supervising testing & commissioning procedures ensuring adherence to project specifications, best industry practices and safety standards.
• Excellent command of English (Both written and spoken).
• Good knowledge in Electrical Installations and ELV installations such as panel boards, lighting, power, UPS, Emergency Generator, fire alarm system, IP-TV System, Ip-Telephony system, Nurse Call System…etc.
• Familiarity with international standards (BS, NFPA and IEC) as well as the Local Code.
• Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD
