Job Purpose
Lead and manage the Aftermarket Sales team covering Oil & Gas accounts within Mantrac territories. Drive growth in parts, service, repairs, rebuilds, CVAs (Customer Value Agreements), and technical support solutions to maximize equipment uptime, extend lifecycle, and enhance customer satisfaction. Ensure revenue and margin targets are met while aligning with Caterpillar dealer standards and cross-functional teams.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic aftermarket sales plans for O&G accounts (upstream, midstream, downstream, drilling, FPSO, etc.).
- Liaise with Product Support Sales Managers and Sales teams in territories to identify and drive high-potential aftermarket opportunities.
- Promote and sell Caterpillar parts, service agreements, planned maintenance, overhauls, component rebuilds, and upgrades.
- Identify opportunities to increase parts & service “attach rate” for each machine/engine in the installed base.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of aftermarket sales representatives focused on O&G customers.
- Allocate account portfolios, set individual sales targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions to ensure achievement of monthly/quarterly/annual goals.
- Conduct regular ride-a longs and on-site customer visits with team members.
- Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in oil companies, drilling contractors.
- Conduct regular account reviews and jointly develop service support plans with customers.
- Work closely with Service Operations, Parts, Technical Support, and Logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and execution of service commitments.
- Resolve escalations relating to downtime, parts availability, and service quality.
- Provide accurate forecasting to support parts stocking and service resource planning.
- Track and manage aftermarket opportunities in CRM, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
- Monitor tender/bid opportunities for overhaul and service projects, preparing competitive technical-commercial proposals with internal teams.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on revenue, gross margin, parts & service attach rates, and contract performance.
- Analyse aftermarket performance trends and recommend strategic adjustments.
- Provide market intelligence on oil & gas industry trends affecting aftermarket demand (e.g. fleet utilization, rig activity, shutdown cycles).
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
Experience
Essential:
