Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for supporting the actuarial team in performing various valuation and analysis tasks. This role involves validating system-generated data, calculating reserves and reinsurance entries, and preparing regulatory reports. The analyst will also contribute to product development, pricing, and risk management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Validate the accuracy and completeness of data used in actuarial calculations.
• Maintain and enhance actuarial models and systems.
• Calculate monthly reserves and reinsurance entries.
• Contribute to the assessment of the company's solvency position.
• Conduct regular experience studies to assess the accuracy of actuarial assumptions.
• Prepare model points and analysis to support product development and pricing decisions.
• Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory reports.
• Document work processes and procedures to ensure consistency and transparency.
• Assist other areas of the business with actuarial projects and analysis.
  
  

Skills

Education / Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Pursue actuarial qualifications and maintain professional knowledge is necessary.
  
  

Job Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of insurance products
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and financial accounting.
