SAP MM/WM Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP MM/WM Consultant to join our team to support the implementation, optimization, and support of SAP Materials Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain processes, hands-on configuration skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into efficient SAP solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, configure, and deliver high-performing MM/WM solutions that improve inventory accuracy, streamline procurement, and optimize warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, design, and configuration of SAP MM and WM modules.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Configure MM processes including:
• Procurement (purchase requisitions, purchase orders, source lists, info records)
• Inventory Management (goods receipts/issues, stock transfers, physical inventory)
• Vendor evaluation and pricing procedures
• Configure WM processes including:
• Warehouse structure setup (storage types, sections, bins)
• Putaway, picking, and stock transfer strategies
• Handling unit management and batch management
• Integration with production supply and shipping processes
• Collaborate with other SAP teams (SD, PP, FI/CO, EWM) to ensure seamless process integration.
• Support testing activities (unit, integration, UAT) and coordinate defect resolution.
• Assist with data migration, cutover activities, and post-go-live hypercare.
• Provide end-user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Recommend process improvements and implement best practices for MM/WM operations.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP MM/WM experience with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations.

• Strong functional knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and warehouse processes.
• Proven expertise in SAP MM purchasing and logistics invoice verification.
• Solid experience configuring WM strategies, storage control, and handling units.
• Knowledge of integration points with SD, PP, FI/CO, and EWM.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid or fully remote environment with potential occasional travel.
