GA Engineer for payment Blockchain Payment Verification

Type: Full-time / Contract
About the Role
We’re looking for a talented FPGA Engineer to design and implement custom hardware for secure, high-speed payment verification systems leveraging zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) and blockchain cryptography.
You’ll work on accelerating cryptographic primitives and verification algorithms for real-time payment infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement FPGA architectures for cryptographic and blockchain verification.
- Develop optimized Verilog/VHDL code for digital signal processing, arithmetic units, and cryptographic cores.
- Implement and accelerate zero-knowledge proof primitives (e.g., SNARKs, STARKs, polynomial commitments).
- Integrate FPGA modules into larger payment or blockchain systems.
- Perform synthesis, simulation, and timing analysis using modern FPGA toolchains.
- Collaborate with crypto engineers and protocol designers on performance and security.
Required Knowledge
Candidates should have working or theoretical knowledge of the following algorithms and systems:
- Signature Verification: Ed25519 (Solana transaction validation)
- Hash Functions: SHA-256, SHA-512, Blake3 (used in Proof of History and ledger integrity)
- Zero-Knowledge Proofs: zkSNARKs, zkSTARKs, Bulletproofs
- Elliptic Curve Cryptography: Curve25519, BLS12-381
- Proof Systems: Proof of History (PoH), Merkle Trees for state verification
- Finite Field Arithmetic and modular multipliers implementation in hardware
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Embedded Systems.
- Proven experience in FPGA design and verification (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or Lattice).
- Strong background in digital logic design, timing analysis, and pipelined architectures.
- Hands-on experience with HDL (Verilog/VHDL) and FPGA synthesis tools.
- Solid understanding of cryptographic algorithms and hardware acceleration.
Nice to Have
- Experience with hardware acceleration of ZK proof systems or cryptographic libraries.
- Familiarity with blockchain consensus mechanisms (Solana, Ethereum, etc.).
- Knowledge of hardware-software co-design or embedded cryptography.
- Contributions to open-source FPGA, crypto, or ZK projects.
